Papers PKM is one of the Student Creativity Program schemes from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti) consisting of 3 types; PKM Scientific Articles (PKM-AI), PKM Written Ideas (PKM-GT), and PKM Constructive Futuristic Ideas (GFK). KT PKM funded by UMS are all AI PKM.

In the context of implementing PKM-KT, UMS conducted a rigorous screening for the selection process for proposals submitted / uploaded to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti). Initially there were 715 proposals submitted to the University, then selected and only 200 proposals were selected that passed the University selection.

Nine teams of Student Creativity Program Writing (PKM-KT), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) managed to get funding from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti). The results were announced on the website of the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs (Dirjen Belmawa) Kemenristek Dikti.
