Thursday (23/6/2022). Office of Collaboration and International Affairs (OCIA) Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) held a Socialization of the “Magang Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) & Program Magang Mahasiswa Bersertifikat (PMMB) FHCI BUMN”. The activity was carried out in a blended at the Seminar Room, 7th Floor, Siti Walidah Main Building, while online through a zoom meeting.

The speakers in this socialization are Prof. Supriyono, Ph.D, Munajat Tri N, Ph.D and Ahmad Kholid Alghofari, S.T., M.T.

The Director of OCIA, Waluyo Adi Siswanto, Ph.D, in his speech said that UMS is one of the campuses that support the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

“We provide direct socialization of this program to students so that it is in line with what is expected by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology,” said Waluyo.

According to him, this program is competitive, so this socialization is expected to be able to help provide provisions for students who will take part in internship programs and certified independent studies & certified student internships.

“Information related to this program will be thoroughly discussed by the speakers on the dynamics and problems in internships and independent studies and student internships,” he explained.

He also said that this activity will support students’ abilities in soft skills and hard skills. In addition, students also increase their scientific treasures and have competence.

“Let’s welcome the third batch of Magang dan Studi Independen with enthusiasm, and return to campus with mature skills,” he said.
