Socialization of Outbound Mobility Program and Preparation for Accepting Foreign Students

Office of Collaboration and International Affairs Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta has conducted a Socialization Program on Outbound Mobility and Preparation for Accepting Foreign Students. The socialization was attended by 33 Heads of Bachelor’s Degree Study Programs from Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The event took place in the Daily Supervisory Boardroom, Siti Walidah Main Building, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The socialization was led by Andy Dwi Bayu Bawono, Ph.D., as the Head of the Office of Collaboration and International Affairs at UMS, and the socialization material was delivered by Sri Indra Kurnia, M.PH., as the head of the mobility and hospitality field.

“At present, UMS has attracted the attention of foreign students, with 4,500 applicants in 2024 (IPS scholarship). UMS has IPS and KNB programs and has received programs from PP Muhammadiyah related to the Palestine program. Involvement from study programs is a necessity, as during the selection process for foreign students, it will be part of the discussion to be held regarding outbound, cooperation in sending and receiving. Mobility regarding the culmination of cooperation, regarding MBKM: PMM, MSIB, IGIP, CO-IISMA, ICT. It becomes a connection with relevant parties,” said Andy.

This socialization discussed UMS’s inbound and outbound programs, namely:

  1. Student Exchange
  2. Summer Course
  3. Double Degree
  4. Independent Learning Campus Freedom
