Office of Collaboration and International Affairs holds Data Internationalization Workshop

The UMS Internationalization Data Workshop was held by the Office of Collaboration and International Affairs (BKUI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta in the UMS KTD Meeting Room on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

In order to meet the necessary certification requirements and improve worldwide recognition, this activity’s goal is to create plans and assess the applications that BKUI offers, namely MyPartnership, MyRecognition, and MyMobility. Prof. Supriyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D said “This workshop was designed to assess the BKUI systems, such as MyMobility and MyPartnership, which are based on patterns of institutional accreditation. The university-level accreditation matrix established the foundation for the development of both of those systems.  The data contained in this collaboration system was provided by the study program and BKUI undertakes every effort to ensure that the data can be properly integrated.”

Along with internal staff, BKUI also extends invitations to other departments, such as the Academic Administration Bureau, Public Relations and Ranking Bureau, and Quality Assurance Bureau, to participate in workshops. Participants were actively provided ideas to improve the BKUI application during this activity. The focus of this discussion is to evaluate BKUI applications in relation to UMS accreditation and ranking.

There needs to be an obligation for study programs that they should be required to upload any academic collaborations to MyPartnership. In addition, if the collaborations already have taken place, they should be required to report on how the collaboration is being implemented in the application that has been provided. Apart from that, cooperation and mobility data provided by BKUI will be adjusted to LJM’s monitoring and evaluation (monev) instruments.

Study programs can be encouraged to upload data to MyPartnership by utilizing the LJM monitoring and evaluation tool alongside AMI. The LJM monitoring and evaluation instrument can be applied to AMI so that study programs can be motivated to upload data to MyPartnership.
By making in-person visits to relevant study programs, BKUI will incorporate data into those programs and communicate the need for data uploads in the recognition application. For future follow-up, BKUI, BPP, and LJM will hold further meetings regarding cooperation and mobility standards.
