MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2019 – An orientation program for new international class students, academic year 2019/2020 was held by BKUI in Siti Walidah’s seminar room 7th floor. The orientation was attended by one hundred seventy-eight new students from eight international classes. Head of BKUI, Supriyono, Ph.D gave a welcoming speech and explained briefly about the mobility programs at UMS which was a plus for the students of international classes. Then, a presentation from Hepy adityarini, Ph.D as a Head of the International Programs on introducing international programs in UMS, also mentioning BKUI’s staffs and secretaries of international programs
BKUI also invited two students who have finished their mobility programs to give a motivational speech and to share their experience abroad. They were Tiara Atika Anggaris, Management Double Degree program in QUT Australia and Suha Salsabila Bt. Napitupulu who took Management Double Degree program in National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) Taiwan. They talked enthusiastically about their arrival at the new country, adaptation process with different food and study rhythm, and rising sense of nationalism. After they finished the presentation and gave motivation to the audiences, then continued by representatives of international class organizations of UMS. They are CESA (Civil Engineering), IMSO (Management), and AESA (Mechanical Engineering). The representative from each international organizations explained the organization’s information, vision , mission and what benefits would be gained if students of international clasess were active in the organization.
The orientation was closed with QnA (question and answer) session by Hepy Adityarini, Ph.D as the Head of international programs. She asked some questions to the students related the material that was given at the orientation, then students who can answer will be given internet quota as door prizes.
