Friday, August 19 2022 the Office of Collaboration and International Affairs Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta held a briefing for students who will carry out the Magang Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) program organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This activity was carried out online using Zoom Meetings and offline in the Seminar Room of the Siti Walidah Main Building, 7th floor of UMS.
This activity was attended by Prof. Supriyono, Ph.D. as Vice Rector V for Collaboration and International Affairs, Andy Dwi Bayu Bawono, Ph.D. as the Coordinator of Program Magang, and Deny Vitasari, Ph.D. as the Coordinator of Studi Independen, Head of Study Programs, and students who will participate in the MSIB program.
The activity was opened by Prof. Supriyono, Ph.D. In the opening, he congratulated UMS students for having successfully passed the MSIB program and also said that the program policy launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019 was in line with the UMS policy that had been set since 2017.
In addition, Andy Dwi Bayu Bawono, Ph.D. in his presentation explained the purpose of the MSIB program held by the Ministry of Education and Culture and reminded students to follow the rules set by each MSIB Partner and complete the program to completion and maintain the good name of the campus and students themselves.
Furthermore, this activity was continued by Deny Vitasari, Ph.D. who explained what benefits were obtained if students joined the MSIB program such as hands-on experience in the world of work, dedicated professional mentors who guide students, and an 18-week internship period and students are given certification according to performance. them on internship.
Deny Vitasari, Ph.D. also stated that the results of the MSIB activity can be equivalent to 20 credits and the conversion of the MSIB value is the responsibility of the study program as the coordinator of the lectures in the semester concerned.
