General Lecture Mobility for Students of International Programs

Around two hundred students of international programs from year 2016 and 2017 attended the General Lecture Mobility which was conducted by Bureau of Collaborations and International Affairs on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 9 am in Seminar room, Siti Walidah Building 7th floor.

General lecture which aims to give comprehensive information to International Program students who are interested in taking student mobility abroad. Fuad Al Hariky, a civil engineering student as a MC, who was directed the general lecture. The seminar was opened by Head of Bureau of Collaborations and International Affairs, Supriyono, Ph.D.

In his speech, he motivated students to prepare their best to have international experience. He also explained briefly if there would be representatives from Immigration of Surakarta. Immigration Office staffs explained about the necessary documents to travel overseas such as passport and visa and the procedure to make them. After gave explanation about 30 minutes, followed by question and answer session 30 minutes.

There were three students who asked related material that has already explained by Immigration office staffs. Then, Head of International Programs, Hepy Adityarini, Ph.D explained about collaborations which UMS has with universities such as National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) Taiwan, Youngsan University Korea, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM) Malaysia, Khon Kaen University (KKU) Thailand, and WUXI China.

She also added information related estimation about the cost of the study and requirements at each universities. Reynaldo Purnomo Putra, a management student who has followed student exchange in NDHU and Thoriq Praszita, a civil engineering student who has followed summer program in UTHM, shared their stories about their experience and student life in the overseas university.
