Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) offered various International Class study programs at the Campus Expo event held by Al Abidin Bilingual Boarding School (SMA ABBS) Surakarta on Wednesday, January 19, 2023.

This event was titled EXPOSE (Expo and Seminar on Education) and included educational seminars and booths from various universities and educational institutions participating in the event.

Alex Kurniawan, S.Pd, the UMS Expo Coordinator, mentioned that UMS was presenting International Class study programs at this event, including a program in collaboration with Tongmyong University in South Korea.

“Many students from SMA ABBS Surakarta showed great enthusiasm, especially for the International Program in cooperation with Tongmyong University in South Korea,” Alex expressed.

In the midst of the Expo participants, he continued, it was not uncommon for students to visit the UMS booth to consult about their studies and inquire about available scholarships.

“UMS provides numerous opportunities for students with both academic and non-academic achievements, and the tahfidz scholarship can also be utilized by those who have memorized the Qur’an,” he explained.

He further mentioned that UMS offers scholarships to students with high TOEFL or IELTS scores, in accordance with the applicable criteria.

During the event, a student from ABBS, Ahmad, expressed his delight at visiting the UMS booth, as he gained valuable insights regarding the various fields of study available at the university.

“The informative presentation made it easy for me to understand the conditions and expectations of the program I plan to pursue,” he added. (Fika/Humas)
